Das Museum of Porn in Art präsentiert „Bodenlos“ eine Ausstellung von CHRIS WAGNER
Auf dem Weg der Entdigitalisierung seiner Kunst beschreitet der basler Fotokünstler Chris Wagner eigene Wege. Weg vom millionenfach reproduziert und viral gehenden Massenbild unter der fiebrigen Ägide von “fear of missing out“ entstehen unter seiner Regie eigenständige Fotoobjekte deren Konzeption dank der raffinierten Aufstellung nur im Original erlebbar sind. Die Fotografie steht per se weniger im Zentrum , sondern wird zum Bestandteil von etwas neuem Eigenständigen.
Bei den ausgestellten Projekten „Masken“ und „Bodenlos“ geht es um menschliche Erfahrungen wie das Individuum in der Masse oder das Gefühl den Boden unter den Füssen zu verlieren, passend zur aktuellen Zeit. Dass er sich für seine Bilderwelten gerne des verletzlichen und unverhüllten menschlichen Körpers bedient, ist auch seiner Könnerschaft als Aktzeichner geschuldet. Auch dazu werden einige Zeichnungen präsentiert . Selbstverständlich alles aus seiner Hand entstandene Originale. Slow und analog.

The Museum of Porn in Art presents „Bodenlos“ an exhibition by CHRIS WAGNER
On his journey to dedigitize his art, Basel based photography artist Chris Wagner cuts his own path. Away from viral and mass produced images and under the feverish aegis of the “fear of missing out”, his independent photo objects can only truly be experienced in the original. Photography is not the central element but instead becomes part of something distinctly autonomous.
The exhibited works “Masken” and “Bodenlos” are a sign of their times, dealing with the individual human experience or the feeling of having the ground pulled out from under you. The impetus to work with the vulnerable, undisguised body is owed to his expertise in nude drawing. Some of his drawings will be exhibited as well. Naturally, all drawn by hand. Slow and analogue.
