Born 1968, Dingwall, Scottish Highlands.
I am a painter of sometimes amusing sometimes sinster and sometimes when its all going right both.
A summary about myself?
I started painting because I had images in my head that I wanted to look at in the real world. Painting was a good way of getting them out.
I'm self taught and living in the Highlands. I went a long time as a teenager thinking I was the only artist North of Edinburgh. I'm not, there are lots, but it took time to find them. My real life does seem to leak into it, even the weirdest pictures have their origin in my day to day life. So maybe its a diary, or perhaps I just paint to amuse myself. Fuck I shouldn't do the analysis it makes me question what the hell am I doing............ Do you know where I can get a real job?
